Jonny McCarthy is a licensed FAA Part 107 Certified Drone Pilot with four years of hands-on flight experience. Currently a sophomore in high school, Jonny is passionate about drone technology and aspires to pursue a career in Electrical Engineering with a focus on unmanned aerial systems.

For the past two years, he has been a leader for the Prosper Drone Team, competing at a high level and continuously refining his skills. In 2025, Jonny earned the title of State Champion in the TSA (Technology Student Association) Drone Competition, demonstrating both technical expertise and a strong commitment to innovation.
Jonny aspired to become certified under FAA Part 107 so he could support businesses with their aerial photography and videography needs.
